Leadership Matters!

You can count on me to keep the CVUSD focused on superior Academics, Activities and Safety because I know, as a parent, a college instructor and a school board member, how important this is for our kids, our district and our community.

I respect the excellent non-traditional, Pre-K and Adult School programs that we have under our CVUSD umbrella and I will continue to provide the leadership these programs need to succeed.

I am committed to offering the best possible school experience for each one of our students.  There are no one-size-fits-all answers in education.  Students, teachers and community all benefit when we provide multiple pathways for success. My experiences teaching Equine Science at Pierce College and Zoology at Moorpark College have taught me that a strong academic, social and emotional foundation is critical to student success.

My ties here are strong, including 26 years living in the Conejo Valley, two children who attended CVUSD K-12 and decades in equine practice caring for local horses.  My husband Patrick, also a veterinarian, is in practice at Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital, taking care of many of the community's furry friends.  We love the Conejo and respect the efforts of all who have made this community such a terrific place to live.

Great public schools are a vital part of the Conejo community. The creation and protection of excellent programs and the development of new opportunities for student success requires the support of a well informed, mission focused school board.

I am proud of my accomplishments on the Board and I will continue to keep the focus on providing great opportunities for teaching and learning.
